When you Shop at smile.amazon.com they will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases to your favorite charitable organization without fees or extra cost. They offer the same prices and products and the same services as the normal Amazon you shop from. They have their online site smile.amazon.com or you can download their app.
You have available a list of more than a million charities to choose from. These charities also have a list of items that they need, this list is present on AmazonSmile where you can choose the item you want to donate. Amazon will then deliver the donated item your favourite charity's address.
Till this day they have donated $355 million to US Charities.
Charities can register themselves with AmazonSmile. An official representative of an eligible organization can create an administrator account on behalf of the organization. then verify their email address and submit the organization’s bank account information. Also, they will Upload a copy of a voided check or bank statement to verify the organization’s bank account information.
The organization administrator will manage AmazonSmile program on behalf of the charitable organization. All donations are sent via electronic transfer to reduce operational expenses. As long as the organization is listed by GuideStar and meets AmazonSmile eligibility criteria, customers will be able to select the organization and donate to it.
