Meridian has a free annual leaf collection event called Recycle the Fall. Every autumn, the City collaborates with Republic Services to provide Meridian residents with the option to either leave bags of leaves outside for pick-up service or drop them off at locations that are involved. Keep reading for guidelines, drop-off locations, and information on Rake Up Meridian.
Teams of volunteers rake the yards of Meridian seniors and those who are physically unable to do so as part of Republic Services' Rake Up Meridian program. Please register below if you are willing to help rake or if you have a team of volunteers.
Between October 21 and November 12, raking will occur at a time and date that has been decided upon by the homeowner and the raking staff allocated to their home.
Rakes and gloves must be brought by the volunteers themselves. Each volunteer raking team will get a supply of paper leaf bags.
Lawns must be groomed before participants can:
· Age 65 or not able to rake because of physical limitations
· Reside inside the boundaries of the meridian
· Presently occupy the house being raked
Sorry, but neither county addresses nor expansive acreages are rakable.
Please be considerate and ensure that the lawn is pet waste-free before your volunteer rakers arrive.
Volunteers and residents can register online from September 5 through October 6, 2023, or until the program is full.
Please call Konrad at Republic Services at 208-685-7773 with any inquiries about Rake Up Meridian or for help with registration.
