KnowBe4, the largest security awareness training and simulated phishing platform provider in the world will donate to save endangered species in honor of its 13th birthday.
KnowBe4 is always looking for ways to protect and promote the environment. As part of its 13th-anniversary celebrations, the organization is making donations to save 13 endangered species, one for each of the 11 nations where KnowBe4 maintains offices. This includes the Florida Panther in honor of KnowBe4's Florida headquarters as well as monarch butterflies, which are present in ecosystems all across the world.
KnowBe4 is honored to work with Friends of the Florida Panther Refuge to safeguard the Florida Panther and Endangered Species International (ESI) to protect 12 other endangered species.
The Western Swamp Tortoise will be protected in Australia, the South American Tapir will be in Brazil, the Arabian Leopard will be in Dubai, the Apollo Butterfly will be in Germany, the Lion-Tailed Macaque will be in India, the Ishikawa's Frog will be in Japan, the Eurasian Curlew (bird) will be in the Netherlands, the Green Sea Turtle will be in Singapore, the African Penguin will be in South Africa, the Pipistrelle (bat) will be
Additionally, KnowBe4 will continue its practice for its anniversary for the third straight year by adopting 13 colonies. The Pinellas Beekeepers Association (PBA) adopted the beehives, which will hold between 20,000 and 35,000 honeybees.
The total number of bees donated to the world by KnowBe4 comes to 455,000, which are thought to pollinate 3.9 billion flowers per day.
"This year, we celebrate another milestone, our 13th anniversary, by protecting the endangered species that inhabit the nations and communities we work in around the world," says Stu Sjouwerman, CEO of KnowBe4.
"We are also pleased to continue our annual practice of adopting beehives, which will have a real, beneficial impact on the environment. These gifts and adoptions are a wonderful way to commemorate this achievement for our organization by doing something to benefit nature.
In addition, KnowBe4 has supported the removal of 12,000 pounds of trash from the ocean and organized community drives for school supplies in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
Earlier this year, KnowBe4 provided three separate $10,000 scholarships for Black Americans studying cybersecurity, for military personnel, veterans, and spouses studying cybersecurity, and for South African women of color studying cybersecurity.
More than 60,000 organizations worldwide utilize KnowBe4. KnowBe4 is a new-school approach to security awareness training that was founded by IT and data security professional Stu Sjouwerman to help organizations handle the human part of security. This includes raising knowledge about ransomware, CEO fraud, and other social engineering techniques.
Kevin Mitnick, a well-known cybersecurity expert, and Chief Hacking Officer at KnowBe4, contributed to the development of the KnowBe4 program by using his well-documented social engineering techniques. As a final resort, KnowBe4 is used by organizations to mobilize their end consumers.
