Centre Grey Health Services Foundation Receives $50K Donation From Successful RAM Rodeo

Cool Story - Centre Grey Health Services Foundation Receives $50K Donation From Successful RAM Rodeo

$50,000 was donated to the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation by the third RAM Rodeo.

To give the foundation the money raised during the May 27–28 event, which the municipality claims was the biggest and most successful one yet, Grey Highlands Council recently met.

The rodeo brought in about $48,500, but council members revealed individual gifts to bring the total to $50,000.

With this donation, the total amount of money given over the last three years now stands at $120,500.

The organization raises money to support hospital construction and regional healthcare programs.

Several sponsors were acknowledged by Grey Highlands Mayor Paul McQueen for their assistance since the first Grey Highlands RAM Rodeo in September 2021.

According to McQueen, "Our community owes a tremendous debt of gratitude for supporting this event by buying tickets and packing the stands all weekend long." It's a convincing illustration of what cooperation may lead to.

The municipality's hosting of the fourth annual Grey Highlands RAM Rodeo in 2024 was also authorized by the council. The new Markdale Hospital will benefit from the fundraiser's proceeds.
