Millions of people have watched a viral TikTok in which parents perform a practical joke on their son and then treat him to a trip to the NCAA tournament to watch Arkansas play Kansas.
Razorback supporter Jude Stadler resides in Joplin, Missouri. His mother Lauren's video went viral and received widespread media coverage. She plays a joke on him in the video alongside his father, Daniel.
"While you received decent grades, they weren't flawless. So, we won't be watching the Razorback game on television tonight," Throughout the video, Daniel added. "We're going to drive around five hours to the Razorback game today to witness the Razorbacks beat Kansas," the driver said.
I love the Razorbacks, Jude said to 5NEWS.
Blood from the 10-year-old is razorback red. His father is a University of Arizona graduate who hails from Benton.
"It was crucial to me that I could bring Jude to Razorback games because I spent my formative years attending those in Little Rock's Barton Coliseum. Three basketball games and one football game have already been attended by us" Daniel clarified.
Jude and Daniel were present during the Razorbacks vs. Kansas game. Fans of the Hogs were on the edge of their seats as Arkansas trailed 35-27 at the break. The Razorbacks beat the top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks 72-71 in a comeback victory to reach the Sweet 16 for the third time under head coach Eric Musselman.
"That was a lot of fun. Despite our anxiousness, everything worked out in the end" said Jude.
We had fans from KU on either side of us, and it was amusing to watch because the louder Jude cheered, the louder they cheered in response, according to Daniel.
This excursion served as a reward for both excellent behavior and good academics. Jude chose to host a party and give gifts to other children on his 10th birthday rather than making it all about him.
