Successful Companies & Factories Should Partner and Support Their Local Communities

Cool Story - Successful Companies & Factories Should Partner and Support Their Local Communities

OmniTRAX, The Broe Group's transportation affiliate, and its associate railroad, Brownsville & Rio Grande International Railway, LLC (BRG), made a $100,000 donation to eleven Brownsville non-profit groups. OmniTRAX and BRG cooperated with the Port of Brownsville to pick a diverse group of local nonprofit organizations that provide important resources to the people of Brownsville as part of OmniTRAX's annual commitment to local communities.

"OmniTRAX is devoted to the communities we serve, and we are delighted to support the vital work that is taking on every day in Brownsville," stated OmniTRAX President and COO Sergio Sabatini.

Working together and providing a helping hand is part of being a good neighbor. These contributions broaden the reach and effect of committed local groups that provide great service to our Brownsville neighbors.

BRG manages 45 miles of rail at the Port of Brownsville, keeping steel, agricultural products, food products, and commodities moving. The Brownsville Navigation District (BND) recovered Port railroad operations from the Missouri Pacific Railroad in 1984, and the BRG began operations.

"I am encouraged to see businesses at the Port of Brownsville so dedicated to giving back to the community. Every year, the Brownsville Rio Grande Railway and OmniTRAX generously reinvest in our communities quality of life "said Steve Guerra, Chairman of the Port of Brownsville Commission. The cash raised for these non-profit organizations will help to fund critical activities and services throughout the country.

The BRG donations are part of OmniTRAX's network-wide community outreach, which gives one million meals each year and financial support for important services to over one million people nationwide.
