Police-public participation in good deeds increased

Cool Story - Police-public participation in good deeds increased

Community policing has improved police and public cooperation in carrying out good deeds in society, according to Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder.

Inaugurating "Community Policing Day-2022" in the office of the Naogaon Police Superintendent on Saturday, the minister made this statement.

The food minister made the following comment about the police's involvement in the Liberation War of 1971: "Police officers were those who shed blood and died fighting on the front lines in the war of 1971. In my opinion, they'll take action once more to support the country.”

He added that the community police are engaged in several activities, such as collaborating with the police, preventing child marriage and evictions, suppressing militancy and terrorism, educating the public about the dangers of drugs, protecting women from torture, preventing dowry, and more.

Shahiduzzaman Sarkar, Salim Uddin Tarafdar, and Deputy Commissioner Md. are the chairmen of the parliamentary standing committee on the ministry of law and parliamentary affairs. There were also Khalid Mehdi Hasan and Md. Rashidul Haque, the superintendent of police, was in attendance.

On Saturday, people around the nation will observe the day under the theme "Peace and order everywhere as the slogan of community policing."
